You can now access the latest version of the draft Neighbourhood Plan report. This is with Wiltshire Council for their approval before it is out for consultation with the village.

December 18, 2018

Most of you will already be aware that a Neighbourhood Plan is being prepared for the Parish of Stanton St Quintin; it is sponsored by the Parish Council and led by the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group; a group of volunteers with a range of interests who are leading the process.

We have a website which will enable you to see how the plan is progressing and keep up to date on any news affecting the plan. The address is www.ssq-np.co.uk.

As part of this work, the Steering Group are required to try to identify any sites within the parish but outside the current boundaries of the villages that might be developable within the life of the plan – currently out to 2036.

​

In this context, by DEVELOPABLE we mean:

Sites in a suitable location for housing development within the parish; there would be a reasonable prospect that the site is available and could be viably developed at the point envisaged.

If you own or are aware of any other sites that might meet this definition, the Steering Group would be grateful for your input.

The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has produced a powerpoint presentation which provides information of how we are progressing towards the production of the Stanton St Quintin Neighbourhood Plan.

The presentation summarises the output from the survey which took place over December 2017 and January 2018, and provided the Steering Group with invaluable information, for which we thank everyone who responded. Also in the presentation are the next steps, indicating the level of work still to be carried out by the Steering Group on behalf of the community.

Your Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has asked Wiltshire Council to conduct this Housing Needs Survey to supply us with more information about housing needs in Stanton St Quintin for the Neighbourhood Plan. 

We would be grateful if you could complete it and return it to Wiltshire Council by Wednesday 11th April 2018, using the envelope provided.

Parish households not in receipt of the survey by Monday 12th March 2018, please contact us by email or 'phone on one of the above, giving your address and we'll arrange for you to receive survey papers.

Leaflets will be coming through doors during the next week to inform the community of the next stage in the Neighbourhood Plan process - a survey. The Steering Group have, with the assistance of Lemon Gazelle, developed a survey to gather a little more information which enable us to identify what is needed next. To expand on and develop further the information collected at the Local Engagement evening in September, the Steering Group has collaborated with the consultants to produce a survey. It is intended that the survey will be made available within the next few weeks and it will be possible to complete it either online or offline. Paper copies will be available on request. A leaflet drop will made to every house in the village prior to survey. More information will be available soon.

Following a well supported and lively Neighbourhood Plan engagement evening, Lemon Gazelle, consultants working with the Steering Group, have produced a report picking up on the majority comments made during the evening.
